Facilitation approach
Facilitation offers a broad range of "products"
There are many forms an approaches to facilitation. My goal is to vary the processes to help participants obtain the information they need and move discussion toward productive results.
"Facilitation" is a broad term for a number of approaches to dialogue. It can be used to resolve conflict, plan future activities or merely create the space for improved dialogue without specific and desired  results.

Using "conflict assessments."
A typical "conflict assessment" flow
An assessment of the conflict that is presented can assist me and the parties in determine whether how to approach the problem or challenge. The degree of formality of the assessment depends on the case specifics.

Although the steps for the assessment will vary, the above link shows some typical steps in the "conflict assessment process."

"Convening" the parties in conflict

Using "Consensus Building Processes"
In some circumstances, it may be very useful to "convene" the parties who are in conflict with a facilitator who provides (a) a neutral perspective on the conflict and (b) suggestions on how it could be approached.
For groups seeking solutions to conflict, there are alternative to "voting" that can improve decision making.
